This season, Smashbox has teamed up with Yago Hortal to make the festive season merry and bright with a new collection called Art.Love.Color.
Being excited by this, I decided to create a look using my new colour palette along with some other Smashbox products.
I have always been a monochrome sort of girl, but I couldn’t resist playing with these fantastic highly pigmented fun colours.
Not only does it make a great all round palette for eyes and cheeks for personal use, but the way it is packaged and overall presented would make a perfect Christmas gift to make that special person feel spoilt rotten – and we love that feeling.
I created a fun look first up:
I primed my face with the Photo Finish Foundation Primer, this makes a great base that makes your overall makeup look last just that bit longer that you need.
Then using the BB water – a personal fave, I added the foundation for a very lightweight and delicate finish!
Then time for the fun. I used the shades to create a blue and coral contrasting eye, using a variety of shades to creating fun colour and definition. This was fun for me as it was outside of my comfort zone, I sort of dived in there and had the greatest time.
I finished my eyes with a touch of eye liner and a good sweeping of mascara, just to give that extra pop.
For my hair I straightened it as normal, then blasted some of this Bumble and bumble thickening spray through (it is my favourite hair product at the moment) to give an even bigger finish and ‘airy texture’. I like it as it gives the volume that of a salt spray does, but with out the dryness.
And here is the finished result:
Very happy with this look, it’s still very me, but with but with added vibrancy. I will definitely be getting a few more of these palettes for my gal pals this season to spread the fun!
